The Smart Slot TA is a Stand Alone barcode swipe reader with internal modem, for use in Time and Attendance. The reader contains an internal time clock, and 64K of memory for storing Time and Attendance transactions. The TA reader is an easy solution to Time and Attendance recording at remote locations. Just connect up the Smart Slot TA to an existing phone line, and you can start recording Time and Attendance transactions. The internal modem can share an existing phone line with another phone, and pickup only during designated hours. The standard Smart Slot TA reader simply records scans and the date and time of the scan. Additional functionality can also be programmed into the reader with custom firmware supplied by IBC.
