The Smart Slot AC is a Stand Alone barcode swipe reader with internal modem, for use in Access Control. The reader contains an internal time clock, 64K of memory, and an internal relay.  The AC reader is an easy solution to Access Control for remote locations. Just connect up the Smart Slot AC to an existing phone line, dial in and download a list of valid ID numbers, and let the reader do the rest. The internal modem can share an existing phone line with another phone, and pickup only during designated hours.  The standard Smart Slot AC reader simply verifies the ID number, and triggers the internal relay for opening a door. Optional versions of this reader are available for also storing transactions. Contact IBC for further information.
