| The DC series readers are
Data Collection readers, used for a multiple of applications, such as recording
attendance at training sessions, attendance at classes, job in and job out at
remote facilities, and tracking of personnel on buses. Any place where you need
to collect attendance data, the DC series readers make the task easy. These readers contain internal memory, and an internal real-time clock. Whenever you scan a card (or present a prox badge), the DC reader stores the card data, along with the date and time, in the internal memory of the reader. Readers are available with either barcode, magnetic stripe, or proximity, and with 256K of memory or 512K of memory. Memory inside the DC series readers is stored in RAM, making upload processing quicker than other readers which use eeprom or flash technology. Data can be uploaded at any time into a pc. These readers are available in four different wiring & power versions: Version 1 - Portable, with a battery compartment for a 9-volt battery. Version 2 - Portable, with external power using a 9-volt battery and a battery adapter. Version 3 - Portable, with a battery compartment for a 9-volt battery, and a jack for external power using a 9-volt battery, or ac adaptor. Version 4 - Fixed Mount, with an ac adapter for power. Special versions of these readers are also available, for season ticket verification at admittance gates. |
