no need for a controller. The reader has 64K of memory (256K optional)
which is used to contain the list of valid employee numbers. Using 5-digit
employee ID numbers, 64K will hold 10000 employee ID's easily. You can
enroll the ID numbers locally at the reader, or download the ID's into the
reader from a pc. The SA reader also supports scheduling, and direct
